Kitchen Nightmares is a fun casual game based on a popular TV genre seen in shows like Kitchen Nightmares. In this game, you play as Chef Tony Regoli as he visits various restaurants and tries to help the owners make their businesses profitable. To do so, you'll need to solve various match-3 puzzles.

Gameplay in Kitchen Nightmares combines two main types. On the one hand, there's a story line in which the chef visits various restaurants and asks the owners to serve him a dish. In this phase, you interact with the owners, learn about their problems and concerns, and try to help them. The second part, however, deals with the kitchen renovations. In this part, gameplay is basically the same as any other decoration-themed match-3. You start with a dirty kitchen full of old furniture, sticky floors, and bad food. By solving match-3 puzzles, you can slowly improve the kitchen, first by cleaning, scrubbing, and organizing, and then actually renovating. During this process, you can upgrade the floors, furniture, appliances, and more.

As for the controls, they're pretty typical for this kind of game. At the start of the level, you can see the number and type of pieces you need to advance. Slide your finger across the screen to swap one piece for another in order to make combinations of three or more identical pieces.
